Amorphous Hydrogel Dressing is a colorless, translucent gel that has been sterilized by steam and is composed of carboxymethyl cellulose, propylene glycol, and calcium chloride. It is highly adhesive and absorbent, thus creating a suitable moist healing environment and promoting the epithelialization phase. Also, it does not adhere to the ulcerated surface and therefore does not create any problems. The gel can hydrate the necrotic eschar (scab) and promote easing in this way the autolytic debridement through the action of propylene glycol.
Thanks to its high water content, the hydrogel dressing creates a suitable moist healing environment, which promotes ulcer healing. It is also recommended for the exfoliation of necrotic eschars in venous, arterial, and pressure ulcers.
It is combined with a modern-type dressing patch.
