Luofucon Alginate Dressing – Alginate Patch is a sterilized patch consisting of calcium alginate and seaweed fibers, which provide it with high and quick absorbance. The alginate salt absorbs wound exudates in exudative ulcers and forms a thick gel on the surface of the wound. The gel maintains a moist environment to accelerate wound healing while also stopping any hemorrhage. Meanwhile, the gel that forms over the wound prevents the dressing from adhering to the ulcer and so its change is carried out painlessly.
It can also be used in superficial and hemostatic wounds, in moderately to heavily exudative, hollow, and pressure ulcers. It can be used over or inside the wound for one to three days depending on the number of wound exudates.
It is available in various sizes and shapes which fit specific wounds, e.g. the rope shape is specially designed for healing hollow and deep wounds.
